The York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is advertising for three consultants to join the Emergency Medicine team at Scarborough Hospital.
The Consultants will join the Emergency and Acute Care team. The trust say they are looking for candidates with relevant qualifications in Emergency Medicine, Care of the Elderly or Acute Medicine.
They are also seeking a Consultant who is "passionate about Paediatric Emergency Medicine and building the facing the future recommendations of Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health".
In the posting for the jobs the trust say..
Scarborough is an exciting place to be. We are in the process of designing a new build acute care unit from the bottom up. It will be designed to provide 24/7 acute services to our local population over a wide geographical area. Integral to this new build will be Same Day Emergency Care Facility (including frailty assessment zone) and less than 24 hour stay ward.
We are a small hospital site which means you get to see the full range of adult emergencies including trauma. Being a small site means that we are a close working team who are friendly, helpful and supportive.
Our emergency department is co-located with our local Urgent Treatment Centre and OOH GP service. Between us we see over 60000 patients per year, of which over 14000 are over the age of 75. 11,000 of these patients are paediatric emergencies.
The jobs will pay between £82k and £110k per year and will be based at Scarborough Hospital.
