The Salvation Army will be holding an event on Saturday.
Scarborough's salvation army are inviting people to take part in a fundraising event for the people displaced from Ukraine on Saturday.
Major Stephen Noble explains what they will be doing.
Stephen says anyone can take part either as a seller or buyer. Tables can be booked in advance by calling 01723 378603 but Stephen says sellers can also just turn up on the day.
Stephen says what the aid agencies need right now is cash rather than physical items. He says the money will be used to buy the items that are needed, closer to where they are needed, removing the logistical difficulties of sorting and shipping actual items.
The event will take place on Saturday morning from 10am until Midday at the Citadel on Alma Terrace in Scarborough.
