The incident happened late yesterday afternoon at Stepney Hill.
North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue officers attended an incident on Saturday where two cars had collided.
No-one was trapped or injured but one of the vehicles had caught fire.
This resulted in a severe fire, heat and smoke damage.
The crew used a hose reel to extinguish the blaze
