Scarborough Come Away With Nothing In Match That Had Everything

Boro were beaten 3-2 at home last night in a thriller under the lights at Scarborough Sports Village.

Scarborough started brightly against 4th placed full-timers Kidderminster Harriers, Weledji hitting the bar from a close-range header, but went 1-0 down after 15 minute through Kouhyar.

Within 60 seconds, Boro were level after a delicate chip from Alex Brown found the head of Luca Colville.

Both teams were playing quick-paced football, Boro edging the posession, but Kidderminster re-took the lead through Morgan-Smith after a goalmouth scramble.

Scarborough had a big shout for a penalty, but instead Harry Green was booked for simulation to the fury of the home faithful.

But Scarborough continued to play some great football and drew level once more thanks to a wonder-strike from Harry Green, curling a free kick beautifully around the wall and leaving the Harriers keeper motionless.

After a breathless first half, the second half started a little slower but both teams were still full of energy.

But Kidderminster took the lead for a third time after Morgan-Smith found Hemmings who slotted in from 6 yards out.

Things became increasingly feisty late on, with a number of on-field scuffles and a yellow card for Jimmy Beadle on the Boro sidelines.

And after a heavy challenge on a Boro player, a scuffle broke out between the dugouts which resulted in Scarborough Manager Jono Greening being shown a red card.

Despite the defeat, Scarborough got a great ovation from the home fans, aknowledging what had been a great performance.
