Police suspect the weapons have been fired at houses in the town.
Scarborough Police say they have received 3 criminal damage reports on West Street, Scarborough over the past three weeks.
The incidents are happening between Granville Road and Belvedere Road junctions.
Officers say that on each occasion, unknown offenders have targeted properties with possibly a BB gun or similar and that on each occasion, windows have been broken.
The guns used compressed gas to shoot metal ball projectiles.
The police are asking the public to remain vigilant, and report anything suspicious to 101 or anything ongoing to 999.
