Scarborough Athletic Take Chorley Challenge

Boro are appealing for supporters to pack the Mounting Systems Stadium on Saturday.

They want to end March in the National North play-off spots and face Lancashire side Chorley, at Bridlington, this weekend.

The club announced the loan signing of Kenneth Mensah from Leeds United on Thursday.

The versatile attacker has made a name for himself in the Leeds United U18s side, making his U21s debut recently, Kenneth has also represented Italy at U16 level and is set to feature for the Seadogs in coming games.

Boro boss Jono Greening said:

“We are pleased to have him on board to help us with the final part of the season and we are looking forward to seeing what he can do, we hope he enjoys his time with us!"

Board member Chris Marson says the Seadogs supporters can be the team's 12th man at the game:

"It's been a hard season over in Bridlington and we're so thankful for the core support that we've had all year. We've effectively had a year full of away games. I think we'd have all bitten someone's hand off to be in this position that we're in now, where we're in the playoffs with six games to go.

"The sun's shining. The lads have done their bit on the pitch and I think it's just a rally cry for the rest of the town. Those who are sitting on the fence or thinking about coming, now's the chance to come. When that ground's full, it's buzzing. It gives those lads that extra few percent, and I think it's that extra few percent now we need, in order to get in those playoffs."

Greening told SAFC TV he's 100% focused ahead of the clash and the run in:

"We know it's not going to be that easy. Six incredibly hard games to play. But that's the same for the other teams as well. We've just got to keep trying to perform at a really good level and keep believing in ourselves because I firmly believe that if we play the way we have been playing recently, we keep everyone fit, then we've got a really good chance of getting into the play-offs."

Kick-off is 3pm at The Mounting Systems Stadium.
