The Seadogs lost 2-0 away at Curzon Ashton last night in the Vanarama National League North
Boro had chances in the first half, including a shot just wide after some great build-up play and a chip from Ashley Jackson which forced the home side's keeper into a great save to tip the ball over the bar.
But a mistake from a cross saw Curzon Ashton take the lead on 26 minutes.
Michael Coulson had a great chance to equalise after the home side's goalkeeper missed a kick but he was tackled just as he was about to place the ball into an empty net.
Curzon Ashton were a real threat down the right with Man Of The Match Hall causing Boro issues all evening.
Curzon were strong at the back and Scarborough were forced to try long-range efforts.
Scarborough piled on the pressure late on with Ryan Watson shooting from 3-0 yards out, testing the home keeper twice that way, but Boro's keeper Cracknell was also kept busy.
The Seadogs condeded a 2nd goal deep into stoppage time to record their 2nd defeat in 4 days, their 3rd of the season.
Boro face Curzon Ashton again this Saturday in the 2nd Qualifying Round of the Emirates FA Cup.
Here's Scarborough boss Jonathon Greening, speaking to SAFC TV after the game:
