Scarborough Athletic Play First of Home Double

Boro host Marine in National North, a week before they entertain Buxton.

One Seadog favourite who won't be involved is defender Bailey Gooda. After over 200 appearances, the centre-half has decided to leave the club.

He told Scarborough Athletic's social media:

"After 6 years at the club, I have made the decision to move on as I felt, personally, it was the right time for me.

"From the first day I joined on loan, from Harrogate Town, I instantly fell in love with the people, the fans and the football club.

"2 promotions, 2 county cups and a play-off final winning goal. I leave with some incredible memories and some of the best days of my life."

Gooda is third in the club's all-time appearance list, behind coach Ryan Blott and Michael Coulson, who's now at Bridlington Town.

He's found opportunities in the side hard to come by after a long injury lay-off, since November.

A treat for Seadogs fans on Saturday will see local band The Feens stopping by to film some acoustic versions of a couple of their tracks.

They'll be at the Sports Village from 1.30pm, ahead of their farewell gig at Scarborough Spa.

Like Jono Greening's men, Boro's opponents Marine have put together an impressive run to ease away from relegation trouble.

Scarborough's defeat at Brackley, last week, was their first in six matches.

Kick-off at Scarborough Sports Village is 3.00pm.
