The Seadogs were held 0-0 by Chorley in National North on Saturday.
The stalemate keeps Jono Greening's men in the National North top seven though.
They continue to lead nearest rivals Telford by two points going into the busy Easter programme.
Midway through the first half, Jake Hull had the ball in the Chorley net only for the goal to be ruled out for offside.
At the other end, Ryan Whitley saved superbly from a Chorley header to keep the score at 0-0.
Greening told SAFC TV the conditions at the Mounting Systems Stadium didn't help:
" I think the conditions and the pitch, I think the pitch was difficult. Very dry, very bubbly. We could see players' first touch passing going wrong all the time. I think we tried to switch play a couple times and nearly scored an own goal!
"But the wind was really bad. It was coming right across the pitch. I think that spoiled the game, if I'm being brutally honest. And yeah the pitch was difficult to play on. It's probably one of the worst games I've ever seen. It wasn't very entertaining. There was not much quality on show but a lot of factors to make it that way."
The Seadogs go to Darlington on Good Friday and host Spennymoor on Easter Monday, both 3pm kick-offs.
