Over 280 travelling Scarborough Athletic fans saw the club's best ever FA Cup run come to an end on Tuesday night.
Boro travelled to Gloucestershire for their Emirates FA Cup first round replay match against League Two Forest Green Rovers.
Forest Green took an early lead through Teddy Jenks after just four minutes of play.
The lead doubled in the 18th minute from the penalty spot through McAllister.
Two more goals in the first half gave Forest Green a 4-0 lead before Boro pulled one back in the 40th minute.
A 4-1 deficit at Half Time left Scarborough with an uphill struggle in the second half against the League Two opposition and despite a much better performance from Boro in the second half the dream comeback was not forthcoming.
A fifth goal for Forest Green Rovers in the 76th minute sealed the victory but not before Michael Coulson got a second goal for Scarborough in the 89th minute.
The 5-2 defeat beings to an end Scarborough Athletic's best ever FA Cup run making the first round of the competition for the very first time since the club was formed.
Forest Green pick up the £41k winners prize and will play League One Blackpool in the second round.
