Saint Catherine’s Hospice announced last month that it had decided to sell it's Hunmanby shop and use the funds to revitalise it's other stores.
The shop was based in a building wholly owned by the charity which says the proceeds from the sale will be reinvested to improve and upgrade other retail premises.
Saint Catherine's says it will be holding a public meeting at Hunmanby Community Centre on Tuesday 27th February where the organisations Chief Exec will be discussing the closure.
Saint Catherine's say:
"We understand that this decision will be difficult for the local community and as a hospice charity, we want our services and support to be available in the communities we serve and we will be looking for ways we can continue to offer this, including basing one of our new mobile resources regularly in Hunmanby.
There is a public meeting taking place in Hunmanby at the Community Centre on Tuesday 27th February at 6pm at which you can meet Saint Catherine’s CEO Ray Baird, who will be happy to answer questions about the closure and take suggestions for new ways of working in the Hunmanby area"
