All three emergency services attended after a collision at the junction between Sleights and Briggswath on the A169.
A road closure was in place after a collision approaching the bridge in Sleights, on the Whitby side of the A169.
The incident occured near to the junction with Briggswath and fire officers, police and ambulance were on hand.
Police described it as a minor collision just before 10am on Saturday.
It involved a silver Vauxhall Insignia car and a red Fiat 500 car.
Both drivers were checked over at the scene and no serious injuries were reported.
Fire crews attended to clear away spilled oil from the scene.
The junction has now been cleared.
