Health leaders in North Yorkshire say they are working on plans to shorten the gap between COVID vaccine doses.
The Prime Minister announced last week that the second doses for the over 50s were being bought forwards in light of the increasing risk from the Indian variant of the virus.
Amanda Bloor from the NHS in North Yorkshire says people will be contacted when any changes are made.
Amanda Bloor says they are working on plans to implement the change but says it depends largely on vaccine supply.
Amanda says people shouldn't be concerned if their gap between doses is over 8 weeks.
Meanwhile Public health experts have confirmed that they are investigating another new variant of coronavirus.
49 cases have been identified, mostly in Yorkshire and the Humber.
It's understood the variant has been known about since April, but its origin still hasn't been confirmed.
There's no evidence to suggest the vaccines don't work against the new strain
