Proposed changes to the fire service in Scarborough are being questioned by local councillors.
North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue want to bring a second full fire engine into use in the town to replace the existing tactical response unit.
The new engine would be more capable but would only be staffed during the day when the service says there are more call outs.
Scarborough Councillor Rich Maw has reservations.

Director of Transformation - Dave Winspear - says the change will provide a better ability to respond to incidents at the busiest times.
North Yorkshire Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner Zoë Metcalfe, has now launched a three-month consultation to listen the public’s views on the proposed changes to fire and rescue services ahead of making her final decisions.
