Pressure Mounts on North Yorkshire Care and Children's Services

Children's services and Care services in North Yorkshire remain under significant pressure according to the county council.

The authority says it is continuing to see an increase in demand for care services, which started alongside the pandemic.

Councillor David Chance is the executive member for corporate services.

Meanwhile, North Yorkshire's Children's services are seeing a continuing increase in demand for their services.

The County Council says the number of applications for Educational Health and Care Plans or ECHP's started rising during the pandemic.
