Fewer people are being tested and of those who are tested fewer are testing positive.
The number of people testing positive for COVID-19 in North Yorkshire has fallen significantly this week.
Public Health Consultant, Dr Victoria Turner says that while the number of people taking tests has fallen so has the proportion of people getting a positive result.
The fall in the number of people requiring a test has also meant a fall in demand at the county's test centres.
The Scarborough testing centre reports that it is now only using around half of it's capacity.
