Scarborough Aquafitters went to a meeting a Scarborough town hall on Friday and asked councillors to step in and save Scarborough's Alpamare Water Park.
They are calling on North Yorkshire Council to find a way of reopening the facility and have expressed concern about it falling into disrepair.
Karen Williams from the group says a solution needs to be found quickly...
Alpamare's owner entered administration last month, owing the council several million pounds, and there's a possibility the council could take control of the site but the situation is complicated.

The AquaFitters asked North Yorkshire Council's Scarborough and Whitby Area Committee if the council will take action, their question reads.
"Will the Council urgently intervene to save Alpamare Water Park from receivership, bringing it under Council stewardship with financial support.
Given its crucial role in our Community, offering activities like Aquafit, swim tots and swimming lessons and contributing significantly to residents, health and well-being and serving as a vital social hub, the potential disrepair poses a risk to this essential resource.
Considering the Council's past investment £9m of public money, can the Council formulate a plan to protect Alpamare, reinvest any profits made and ensure it continues to benefit the community?"
Councillor Liz Colling read a statement at Friday's meeting.
Both the Labour and Conservative Parliamentary Candidates for Scarborough and Whitby are calling for North Yorkshire Council to help save the Alpamare Water Park.
They joined members of Scarborough Aquafitters at the council meeting on Friday.
Labour candidate Alison Hume says the Waterpark is a significant community asset.
Conservative Candidate Roberto Weeden-Sanz says it's important the water park is reopened and made more accessible for local people.
Speaking at Friday's Meeting Councillor Heather Philips said the council's executive is working hard to find a solution.
