Christmas and the new year is usually the busiest period of the year for the NHS and with the COVID pandemic continuing, pressure on hospitals this year is expected to be greater than ever.
Amanda Bloor is from the North Yorkshire Clinical Commissioning Group and says it's a real help if people can make sure they are accessing NHS services in the most efficient way over the next couple of weeks.
This year the COVID pandemic is adding additional pressures, and NHS leaders in North Yorkshire are also keen that patients don't clog up phone lines by calling about the COVID vaccinations.
Amanda Bloor says the NHS will contact people directly when they are able to get the vaccine.
