Yorkshire Coast Community Rail Partnership are hoping to recreate a Barrow Boy sculpture on local railway platforms along the coast.
To celebrate the history of the Barrow boys, Yorkshire Coast Community Rail Partnership are hoping to introduce an exciting project along the coast which will see a real life sculpture placed on the platforms of local stations.
Roger Gately, acting chair of the partnership, has hopes of re-introducing a big part of the coasts history
It was a common sight along the coasts platforms, with young lads waiting on the station to transport passengers luggage from the platforms to the hotels and guesthouses
Gately insists that they still have a lot of hard work to do if they want to get this project off the ground.
