Pikes will be in the hat for Monday's First Qualifying Round draw after a battling stalemate on Friday night.
Pickering were held 0-0 by County Durham Northern League First Division Easington Colliery, at Mill Lane.
George Brown was denied by a fine save inside nine minutes.
At the other end, Alfie Burnett tipped over a long-range effort while Don Weston saw his shot blocked after a fine run by Wood.
Burnett saved well with his leg in first half injury time.
The second period saw Nathan Dyer denied by a superb reflex save and the visitors did hit the net in added time, but it was disallowed for a foul.
The sides will replay, at Easington, on Wednesday night.
Pikes are now unbeaten in five matches, this season.
