They are taking part in a two day training event focusing on vehicle rescues.
North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service has teamed up with Weber Rescue UK to stage the RescueDAYS UK event. The event originated in Germany, where it has been running for over 20 years. This will be the first time it has taken place in the UK.
The days are a training opportunity for fire and rescue services and rescue organisations with a several road traffic collision scenarios arranged over the two days.
Firefighters from across the region will be attending along with instructors from Japan, Brazil, Germany, and Austria.
Pickering Station Manager - Kevin Scorer - says the public are welcome to turn up and watch the firefighters conduct rescues from simulated road traffic collisions.
The two-day event is being held at NY500 just outside Pickering.
