A bus hit a car in Hawsker on Friday, injuring one of the coach's passengers.
North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue say firefighters from Whitby assisted ambulance crew with a top-floor passenger, who was injured.
They used cutting equipment to clear some space before transporting the casualty to a waiting ambulance.
The incident happened on Station Road in the village, near Whitby, just after 6.30pm on Friday evening.
