Traffic is slow going over the North York Moors on the A171 & A169, also the A165 between Scarborough and Bridlington and the A614 this morning after snow showers.
We have also received phone calls from listeners this morning who report trains cancelled between Scarborough and York due to a broken down train.
Leony called to say a deceased animal is partically blocking the A165 at Reighton, adding to traffic problems on a snowy road surface.
Traffic is crawling around Bridlington this morning, with the A165 near the hospital particularly slow.
Many areas along then coast have a covering of snow with further snow showers forecast at times, especially this afternoon when snow could extend a little more inland.
The Met Office Weather Warning for ice has been extended to 12:00pm Friday. It reads:
Frequent wintry showers running down the east coast are likely to fall on frozen surfaces in places, leading to the formation of icy patches. These showers are likely to fall as snow on high ground, with the potential for a few centimetres to accumulate in places.

Yesterday, Jo Farrow from NetWeather told Paddy At Breakfast we should expect overnight snow. She also predicted more this evening too. She said the cold spell is here to stay:
