The force have continued to meet their targets in terms of answering emergency calls.
There's been a steady improvement in terms of call answering, this year, as shown below:

Here's the Deputy Chief Constable of North Yorkshire Police, Scott Bisset:
" Still achieving the 90% of calls in under 10 seconds, which is our national service level agreement that all forces are required to work to I think I should mention this is particularly impressive in the last eight weeks or so with the increase in 999 calls that we've seen primarily due to the warm weather.
"So I'll give you an example. Last week we took 2,000 999 calls versus 2,000 in the same week of the previous year. And yet still improved performance, which is credit to the people that work in the force control room and all the work that continues to be done to make sure that the force can deliver the best service possible to the public."
The longest maximum wait was 2 minutes 41 seconds.

Deputy Chief Constable Bisset praised his colleagues for the improvement:
"Throughout 2025 has been five seconds or below.
"Just to note, we've had some technical changes in there over the last six weeks or so, which has meant that now we're maximizing the ability to answer calls quickly because the technology's now supporting that, and this is now starting to be reflected in national BT data."
There's also been a significant improvement on answering 101 calls, with 85% of calls answered within five minutes.
