Council grants for community orchestra's and arts organisations in North Yorkshire will continue but will also be reviewed.
North Yorkshire Council says commitments made by the former district and borough councils will be honoured by the new authority.
Executive Member for Culture - Councillor Simon Myers - says there will be a standardisation of the grant schemes across the county but form now existing grants will continue.
Councillor Myers says there will need to be new unified approach to how grants and managed going forwards.
