Care workers on the Yorkshire Coast have played a major role in helping the area throughout the pandemic and are to be recognised in a national NHS, Social Care & Frontline Workers' Day on Monday.
Rachel Bowes is assistant director of care and support for North Yorkshire County Council, she says when COVID arrived in the county, the area's care workers stepped up:
She adds the county's care staff did not hesitate to do whatever was needed to help over the last year:
