Business leaders in the county say they think devolution will bring more funding into the area.
Helen Simpson is chair of the North Yorkshire Local Enterprise partnership, she feels local control over funding could bring more investment to areas like the Yorkshire Coast:
The LEP believes locally-made decisions will mean investment funding is used in ways to best enhance the local economy.
