North York Moors National Park Prepares for Busy Bank Holiday Wekeend

Park bosses are urging people to avoid busy areas and to leave BBQ's at home.

The North York Moors National Park has been preparing itself for the bank holiday weekend.

It reopened to visitors earlier this month and Director of Park services, Michael Graham, says some specific areas have been very busy.

Park bosses are urging people to move on from any busy areas they might encounter over the weekend and make use of the less frequented areas of the park.

Since it reopened to visitors earlier in the month the National Park has seen a steady flow of people keen to get back outdoors.

Michael Graham is advising people to avoid crowded areas over the bank holiday weekend and is also asking visitors to be a aware of the severe fire risk in the park.
