COVID infection rates in Yorkshire are seeing some big fluctuations are there are big difference being seen between different parts of the county.
The Scarborough Borough's seven day infection rate fell to 17 cases per 100 thousand people earlier this week after being over 50 last week.
Yesterday's numbers showed Ryedale had a rate of 6 while Selby had a rate of 46.
Richard Webb from North Yorkshire's local resilience forum says it's not clear why the differences are occurring.
Different areas are seeing significantly different numbers.
And even within individual areas rates are seeing big fluctuations week on week.
Richard Webb says the way the Kent variant spread just before Christmas might explain some of the differences now.
