New Qualifications for Bridlington RNLI Crew Members

Jake Bennett and Matt Buckle are now certified to use the stations launch equipment.

Bridlington RNLI volunteer shore crew Jake Bennett and Matt Buckle, have this week passed out following successful training assessment as (H class) Tracked Vehicle License.

This will enable them to launch the D-Class inshore lifeboat using the station Tooltrack both on exercises and taskings.

The launch vehicle driver role includes taking charge of the launch vehicle during the launch and recovery of the lifeboat under the direction of the head launcher and helm.

The RNLI Tooltrak is a compact rubber tracked crawler-based tool carrier for use in marine environments for the launch and recovery of lifeboats and other craft. It is designed for operating on extremely soft ground conditions such as mud or sand, or on shingle beaches.
