A new project to showcase sustainable ways of living got underway this week.
The 'Waste Not Want Not' summer echo fair showcased sustainable practices including upcycling clothing and furniture, growing, preserving & composting your own food, and shopping sustainably.
David Stone, who is from the Waste Not Want Not Project in Scarborough, explains what the project is all about.
The Coast and Vale Community Action (CaVCA) which is based in the town is looking to celebrate the many different skills we have in our community, providing opportunities for people to have a go at them & learning how they can help save us money and do our bit to take better care of the planet.
David Stone says that he hopes the project will have a positive impact on the local people of Scarborough.
