A big reopening is planned for one of the Yorkshire Coast's most popular venues.
The new owners of Scarborough's North Bay railway say they plan to re-open the attraction in April and have big plans for it's future.
John Kerr and Peter Bryant have taken over the company this week, they are no strangers to mini railways having run the Cleethorpes Coast Light Railway for the last 7 years.
John told This Is The Coast their approach to running the railway:
"We want to add to what is already one of the most amazing views from a railway.", he said.
"The railway itself is just stunning, it's ranked as one of the top miniature railways in the country, any way we can add to that we will.
"I think the other area we really really want to expand is the boating lake. We've got some fierce competition over the road from Peasholm Park so we've maybe got to up our game slightly and see if maybe we want to theme it slightly."
John says they love trains and have many ideas for enhancing the railway, he adds:
"The other thing we really want to bring, subject to Covid, are events and more function experience sides.
"The railway's never offered any birthday parties or any packages in its time and we really think that's a market that the railway should explore.
"Everybody has a birthday, children have a birthday every single year and most children love trains, so the fact that they can't have one at the moment seems a bit crazy, so that's something that we really want to try. Also, Easter, Hallowe'en and Christmas events, we think we can expand on those."
