Steve Nunn has been appointed as Mayor of Pickering for the next 12 months.
At the Annual Council meeting on 12th May Councillor Steve Nunn was appointed as Town Mayor and Councillor Emma Dineen was appointed as Deputy Town Mayor for the forthcoming year.
The Council gave its thanks to Councillor Emma Daplyn who has served the Council as Town Mayor for the previous year saying that she has
"not only been a fantastic advocate for the Council but has also helped us to strengthen links with the local community."
The Town Council have appealed to any local charitable or voluntary organisations who would like the Town Mayor to attend an event to get in touch with the Council office to arrange this.
The Council also welcomed new councillor Donna Rueth to the Council as councillor for the West Ward.
