It's long been the aim of the tourism industry on the Yorkshire Coast to extend the tourism season into the winter months. Now it seems the area may have succeeded, with Dolphins.
A new Dolphin record has been set on the Yorkshire Coast with the marine mammals having now been seen off the coastline every month for the last year.
Stuart Baines runs the Scarborough Porpoise Facebook Page, he says the increase in sightings is exciting.
It's the first time that bottlenose dolphins have been spotted every month for 12 straight months on the Yorkshire Coast after this week's sighting in Filey and Scarborough.
It's thought they are visiting from their home in Scotland.
Stuart Baines now wonders if they are moving in.
