Boro were beaten 29-8 at Silver Royd by local rivals Malton and Norton.
It followed on from last week's opening day defeat at Dronfield, in North East 2.
In the same division, Bridlington are off the mark after a tight win in Derbyshire.
Brid beat Glossop 27-22.
Whitby had an afternoon to forget at White Leys Road in Durham & Northumberland Division Two.
They were hammered 42-0 by visitors Darlington.
