Firefighters from Filey and Scarborough combined to tackle a fire on Mere Lane in Scarborough on Saturday evening.
North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue say crew from Scarborough were mobilised to a fire sighted in woodland just off Mere Lane just before 7pm, on Saturday evening.
On arrival this was found to be a fire measuring approximately 20 metres square of shrubland.
A request for a second appliance was made and a crew from Filey also attended the scene.
Officers used a hose reel jet, knapsack sprayers and beaters to extinguish the blaze.
