A popular fun day, for all the family, is back, in Filey, later this month.
The Filey Emergency Services and Fun Day will take place on Filey Sports Fields, on Padbury Drive, just off Clarence Drive.
All are welcome to meet members of our emergency services.
Police and Fire Fighters collaborating with the Institute of Advanced Motorists will be on-hand to provide advice to young motorists.
The advisers will offer first-hand accounts from the emergency services exposing the risks and dangers of driving and give advice on driving experience courses provided by the Institute of Advanced Motorists for those under the age of 17.
Event coordinator Police Volunteer Allan Skilbeck, says:
“Many young people learn to drive as soon as they are old enough to do so. Passing your driving test is a great feeling, but it is not a licence to drive as you please.
“When you get behind the wheel of a car you are not only responsible for your own safety, but the safety of your passengers and other road users. That is a responsibility you need to take seriously.”
Entry is completely free and the event takes place on Sunday 21st August from 11am until 4pm.
