Members of a Scarborough Martial Arts club have come back from a competition in Hungary with 62 medals.
The team from Desapline Martial Arts took part in the 2022 ICO World Championship's this weekend.

The team from Desapline Martial Arts were competing at the Kanizsa Arena in Hungary this weekend. The 5000 seat arena played host to the first World Championship event since the pandemic.

There was stiff competition with just under 400 competitors from 15 different countries.
The Desapline team came back with 27 gold Medals, 23 Silver and 12 Bronze.

Desapline Martial Arts Academy was set up seven years ago in Scarborough. It now has over 200 students of all ages and abilities.
The club moved into a new home on Barry’s Lane just before the pandemic hit and provides classes for all ages from 2 years old upwards including Kickboxing, Taekwondo, Fighting Fit, Sparring, Elite Points Fighting and Ninja’s (Additional Needs).
Next years World Championships will be in England in October 2023.
