Two and half thousand balls will be cascading through Filey this evening.
The Filey lions are holding their annual ball race on Cargate Hill at 7:30.
Claire Browning from the lions says it's a rather unique fundraising event.
The plastic spheres race through an obstacle course as gravity pulls them down the hills, Claire says it's a real spectacle.

This is the Coast's Paddy will be starting the race at 7:30pm prompt. Claire says the event has gathered a significant following over the years and draws a large crowd.
The Filey Lions team have spent the last few weeks selling the racing balls local people who will be trying to follow their balls progress down the course this evening.
Claire says the support from the public has been first rate.
Tickets for balls will be on sale after 6pm tonight at the event but must stop at 7.20pm for the race to start at 7.30pm.
