Police are looking for witnesses to the incident on Tuesday lunchtime.
North Yorkshire Police is appealing for witnesses and information about an incident in Scarborough after a man suffered serious facial injuries. The incident happened on St Nicholas Street at approximately 12.30pm on Tuesday 6th April, outside Lloyds Bank.
The victim, who is in his early 20s and is slim, was treated in hospital for serious facial injuries.
Police say:
"We are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident. St Nicholas Street is very busy with members of the public, and we are appealing for any persons to come forward if they have witnessed the incident the incident or can offer any with information.
