Humberside Fire & Rescue assisted a man on Mill Close in the town after a fusebox fire.
It happened around 1.30pm on Thursday.
The blaze caused damage to a small area in the building's kitchen.
Firefighters ensured gas and electrics were isolated in the property.
Oxygen therapy was then administered to a man inside.
