Health leaders confirm cases in the county.
There have been case of the Indian COVID variant in North Yorkshire although at the moment they are isolated cases and there is no indication of community transmission.
North Yorkshire's Director of public health, Louise Wallace, says the number of cases is very small.
Richard Webb is the county councils Director of Health and Adult services. He says the situation is not as bad as elsewhere and the authorities are ready to react if further cases are detected.
