Inconsistent Whitby Town Exit FA Cup

Whitby's up and down season continued with a poor performance and FA Cup exit at NPL Premier rivals Hyde.

Town had gone into the game on the back of successive wins and a draw with highflying Stockton Town in midweek.

However, it was a display featuring poor decisions as Blues went in 1-0 down at the interval following an Alex Nelson own goal.

The Tameside outfit wrapped things up after the break.

Player-boss Gary Liddle came off the bench to play in the second half, he said his side make the wrong decision too often and that's why their performances are up and down:

Blues are back in action quickly.

Town visit Lincolnshire side Gainsborough Trinity on Tuesday night in NPL Premier.
