The number of people dissatisfied with the NHS 111 service on the Yorkshire Coast has been highlighted in a new study.
70 percent of people on the Yorkshire Coast have used the NHS 111 service in the last two years.
However a study by the local integrated care board shows that many people are unaware of the full range of service that can be accessed through the 111 phone line.
Anya Hazebroek is the NHS Humber and North Yorkshire Integrated Care Board's Executive Director of Communications, she says awareness of the range of services available needs to be improved.
Half of people who have used the NHS 111 service on the Yorkshire Coast say they were not satisfied by the experience.
Anya Hazebroek says the study will help them make improvements to the 111 service.
The study also asked patients how they usually access NHS services when they need to. Anya says GP services remain the most common entry point for patients.
