North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue say a fire at a single storey residential home in Fylingdales is being looked into.
Firefighters from Whitby, Fylingdales and Scarborough attended the scene at around 5.30pm on Monday evening.
Crews extinguished the fire and dampened down the area.
The incident remains open for fire investigation to be carried out.
