The Wagoners Special Reserve Museum at Sledmere Hall keeps the story of local regiment the Wagoners’ Special Reserve alive and there's activities to reflect this on Sunday.
The reserve was made up mainly of farmworkers from the Sledmere estate who took their horses and wagons to France.
On 19 May the 150 Royal Logistic Corps will be coming to Sledmere to see which of their regiments will be the Wagon Champions of 2024.
The corps are working with the museum and estate staff to put on this exciting event which will feature challenge events including straw bale challenge, long reining, war message rely and gun run.

Visitors can enjoy a fascinating demonstration of a First World War ambulance with Popcorn the pony, military and museum stands, historic and contemporary military vehicles and the 150 Regimental Band.

The Northern Heavy Horse Society plus horse owners and museum supporters will be bringing 15 horses to the day including Percherons, Clydesdales and Shires.
Children can enjoy the assault course, see the Sledmere farm animals and let of steam in the Sledmere play area.
