A Scarborough tram became trapped on Friday afternoon, requiring help from the local fire brigade.
It happened around 2.15pm on St Nicholas Cliff in the town.
A crew from Scarborough responded to reports of a tram stuck on the tram lines.
Crews used a rope rescue kit to release 27 persons stuck in the vehicle.
