Fire crews from Whitby assisted an elderly man in the town on Saturday morning.
They were called to Lockton Road in the Castle Park area, just after 9am.
Officers gained entry to a property for carers outside to reach an elderly male who had fallen.
Firefighters used a lock-snapper and then made the property secure again.
