In a heartfelt farewell, David Bull has officially retired from his position as Bandstand Supervisor in Filey after more than two decades of dedicated service.
Known as a friendly and familiar face in the community, David Bull has played a crucial role in the town’s summer concert season, assisting bands and performers while ensuring smooth operations at the beloved bandstand.
Throughout his tenure, Bull's tireless work behind the scenes has been instrumental in bringing music and life to Filey’s iconic bandstand. He has not only managed bookings and logistics but has also fostered a warm atmosphere, engaging with both residents and visitors alike. His enthusiasm and commitment have made each event a joyous occasion, contributing significantly to the local cultural scene.
Filey Town Council said:

Despite stepping down from his bandstand duties, David will continue to serve as Filey’s Town Crier, a role he embraces with pride and flair. This transition allows him to remain an integral part of the community while passing the torch to a new generation of bandstand supervisors.
In recognition of his outstanding service, the Filey Town Council expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Bull.
