Ruby Gleeson is collecting chocolate selection boxes to those less fortunate than her.
Her idea was to spend her pocket money on chocolate. And since the family posted the idea of ' Ruby's Chocolate Haul' on Facebook, they've been inundated with help from across Filey.
Filey Lions donated £50 to the cause whilst the Rotary Club of Filey & Nayside Kitchen donated 50 selection boxes each.
And Tesco in Filey invited Ruby to buy chocolate from the store. They gave her a uniform and allowed her to scan the items from behind the till.

Ruby's mum Amber told Paddy where Ruby's idea came from:
"On Friday walking to school she told me she wanted to save her pocket money and buy chocolate for children less fortunate than her. She's been saving up for an iPad and had £13 so she had a long way to go. I thought I'd open it up to Facebook and it's just escalted from there. We now have a conservatory full of chocolate now".
Ruby took £205 to Tesco but the bill came to £265. Tesco kindly cleared the bill for Ruby.
Amber told Paddy that the original plan was to send the chocolate to The Rainbow Centre in Scarborough and Filey Food Kitchen but now they can reach more people:
"Because we have been overwhelmed with donations, choclate is now also going to the Duke Of Kent Ward and Children's Clinic at Scarborough Hospital and the NYCC families teams".
Ruby also spoke to Paddy, telling him the experience has made her feel like a new person:
